Descend into a haunting mystery in Drowned Lake on Steam, a fishing survival horror experience that blends psychological terror, exploration, and investigation. After an amateur documentarian named Bento mysteriously disappears, three strangers are drawn to the lake in search of answers. What begins as a rescue mission soon becomes a nightmare as hidden secrets, supernatural forces, and the lake's disturbing past emerge from the darkness.
Inspired by Brazilian folklore, the game explores themes of religious syncretism, social unrest, and personal trauma through a chilling found-footage-style narrative. Players can experience the story through the eyes of three different characters: reporter Carolina, first responder Rafael, and fisherman Leopoldo. Each brings unique motivations, secrets, and perspectives to the unfolding mystery.
The lake itself is both beautiful and terrifying. From abandoned wrecks to quiet waterways, every location is filled with an oppressive atmosphere and lurking danger. Fishing plays a central role in gameplay, but every cast carries risk, as players never know what the dark waters might reveal or what price the lake may demand in return.
