Nightmare: The Lunatic is a fast-paced roguelite action RPG developed by Maetdol Games. Trapped inside a never-ending nightmare, players must venture deeper into the dream world and find a way to escape. A mysterious Dream Merchant, who became trapped in the nightmare after entering it to trade, offers assistance along the journey.
Combat focuses on timing and adaptability. Players can dodge and parry enemy attacks, unleash special attacks, and switch between three weapons in real time depending on the situation. Each weapon can be selected according to the player's preferred playstyle and its synergy with other weapons.
Every journey through the nightmare offers opportunities to become stronger. Exploring the dream world allows players to discover Totems with different abilities, while the game's roguelite structure changes the layout of the nightmare after death, encouraging players to adapt and try again.
Parry-Focused Action Combat
Read enemy movements, dodge incoming attacks, and master well-timed parries to overcome powerful monsters. Successful defense and precise timing are central to surviving the nightmare.
Real-Time Weapon Switching
Carry and constantly switch between three weapons during combat, allowing you to adapt your attacks to different enemies and situations. Weapon selection also encourages experimenting with different synergies and playstyles.

Death is not the end. When a run ends, the nightmare returns you to the beginning with its structure changed, creating a new challenge and giving you another opportunity to progress.
Character Growth and Builds
The Nintendo Switch release highlights RPG elements in which players unlock new contracts and abilities as they adventure, allowing them to develop different character builds and improve their basic skills.
