Easily one of the most popular Japanese manga and anime series, Saint Seiya finally shines through in a brand new fighting game.Five mystical warriors have become the Saints, guardians for the reincarnated Goddess Athena as she fends for the world against the ancient Olympian Gods. To the aid of the Saints, each have donned magical armor derived from various stellar constellations; through this, all five ban together to wage war against the Gods with the powers of the CosmosSaint Seiya: Brave Soldiers will feature more than 50 Playable characters to battle along the three arcs from the original manga: Sanctuary, Poseidon, and Hades. The Battle System will feature “Light Speed Combo Battle Action” activating Cosmo energy to explode at light speed. The 7th Sense puts players in a Power Up State; risk takers can remove their armor for an extra boost. And when you've mastered all these techniques, explode online via versus and ranking modes.

Great smashing game ever , thanks to PA
Good for fans, not others.
Why the 2? The gameplay is very shallow, combos might as well not exist since you can just escape them by pressing R2 if you have enough Cosmo. The gmae quickly boils down to "Wait for the opponent to use an special, dodge and use users", since the start up is son long, most aren't useful in combos, just look at Shaka, how is he supposed to combo with his specials?
The character roster is also a bit of a lie, there's not really "50+ saints", y'see, you have 5 Seiyas(v1, v2, v3, Sagitarious, Gold), 4 Shiryus and 4 Hyogas(v1, v2, v3, Libra/Aquarius), 3 Shuns and 3 Ikkis(Their Gold cloths are DLC), you have two Deathmask, 2 Aphrodite, etc, and they play almost exactly the same between each other, so the end result is a reduced cast.
Still, for fans of Seiya, this is probably one of the better games, the rest should keep away.

If you've played any of the other Dimps games...
Then you mostly know what to expect with this game. I wasn't familiar with the characters in this game but I'm a fan of fighting games and Dimps has been doing a pretty good job in the Xbox 360/PS3 era of games. Worth checking out for even the casual fighting game fan, probably even better if you are a Saint Seiya fan.

It's a great game and I enjoyed it alot. Great graphics and gameplay. Very entertaining. I Love it!
