Departing from the usual 2D action, Samurai Shodown is easing into the 3D fighting world with their newest fighter, Edge of Destiny. The generations of characters show up in the battle roster, so you'd definitely find someone whose' skills best match with your gaming style.This is a weapon based fighter where you can do quite a bit of harm to the opponents. The Xbox360 system will make sure that you have the most realistic experience of decapitating someone as you slash at their necks.The story is about a little European princess Suzu, who has been taken to Japan and brought up as a Samurai. She has been entrusted with the mission to merge Europe with the chaotic Japan. Join her on her dangerous travels and adventures.

The game plays differently from the old school 2D version. It is more similar to Tekken button mashing style. Overall is a good game and the background music is great. Support both English and Japanese voice and subtitles as well.

Samurai Showdown in 3D and a bit more like soul calibur

This entry in the series is a bit more Soul Calibur with blood and gore. Graphics in this game is alright/good but not awesome. There are quite a lot of characters that you can use here, with old favourites like Haohmaru, Nakoruru and Rimururu. If you hit your enemy with a hard slash as the finishing move, you will see that your enemy is cut in half or the hand is missing with blood everywhere. For a full priced game I would give this game a 3 stars, but at this price this would be 4 stars and for me, as a fan, it's worth the purchase.
