A Must-Have for Any SEGA Fan
The most important thing to know: even though the packaging and manual are in Japanese, the SEGA Astro City Mini has a full English menu and is easily enjoyed by any English speaker.
This is as good a collection of classic games as any of the mini consoles from the past few years, in a very attractive piece of hardware. The screen is tiny but the quality is quite good, and of course there's an HDMI out if you want to play on a TV. The built-in joystick and buttons are of surprisingly good quality, but a bit cramped; I strongly recommend purchasing the Control Pad (sold separately) if you plan to play often.
It's a shame SEGA never bothered to release this outside of Japan, but at least we have Playasia!

Nice little machine
Very cool device. Looks cool and a good display and some really nice feeling micro switches and buttons. Got a nice selection of games, with some stand outs too. Would recommend for arcade and SEGA fans!

Great Games, Solid Console, poor controller compatibility, but there are options
I really like this mini console. The look and quality of the build is great, on par with the details of the Megadrive/Genesis Mini. Nice selection of games most of which I've never had a chance to play in their original arcade versions. Owning an official version of Cotton was my tipping point for buying this product.
I just wish more controllers were supported. Officially only the Sega Astro City Arcade stick and Astro City Control pad are supported. I bought 2 of the Control pads as they were sold out when I first bought the console.
I've found a few alternative controllers that work though. The 8bitdo M30 2.4G and the 6 Button Megadrive controllers from the Sega Megadrive Mini (Japan) both work with the Sega Astro Mini. If you happen to have those already you're in luck.

Best mini console
Amazing little recreation of the arcade classic. Top notch quality materials, the stick with micro switches fells amazing.
Interesting game line-up, especially if you're a SEGA fan.
