A charming classic JRPG collection from the 6th generation!
Historically these were some of the first games made by Monolith Soft for Nintendo’s platform. While I slept on the original release, I bought this collection just off of that legacy alone. Fast forward to today and Monolith Soft is one of Nintendo’s most important in-house studios. Not only did Tetsuya Takahashi & team create the fan favorite Xenoblade Chronicles Series, but they’ve also aided in the development of Breath of the Wild and many other exclusive Nintendo 1st party titles. I consider him to be one of the last of the “Old Guard” from the Squaresoft Days, and imo Square had never been the same since Takahashi, Matsuno, & the Guch himself left the company. I’m thrilled that a niche series like this has been made accessible to new & old fans alike, and I can’t wait to dive into this experimental gard game/JRPG cult classic! Thank you Bandai Namco, Nintendo, Monolith Soft, & Playasia!!

Music is godlike
Very experimental game from Monolith Soft. Personally, the main focus it's the OST made by Motoi Sakuraba, it's excellent.
The remaster itself is nicely done, better than the Tales of Symphonia on. Now all we need from Namco is Xenosaga.

Great 2 RPG saga on one cartridge
This game is traditional yet very unconventional JRPG using cards as main battle mechanic. Great game to play and it's even better both 1 and the prequel Origins are on one cartridge.

Never thought this would get reissued!
Never thought that this would get remastered/reissued for modern consoles in my wildest dreams. Hope this is Bamco testing the waters for other reissues of classic titles that are still trapped on their original consoles.

I'm sure that I could find something to complain about(as several have in the previous reviews,) but I'm really just happy that I can pop this game in my Switch and travel back to simpler times. In my mind, while I do disagree with all the censorship that does happen in to many of these modern reissues, I would still take this over nothing.
