Considered to be the forefather of all modern role-playing games, Dungeons & Dragons is rife with source material for an amazing video game. Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is this game; originally produced as a 4 player arcade cabinet action rpg experience, due to fan demand, there is now a 2013 HD release featuring two legendary games – Dungeons and Dragons: Tower of Doom and Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow's Over Mystara.Aside from the classical character archetypes from fantasy lore – the Fighter, Elf, Dwarf, Cleric, Mage and Thief – each with their own move set and play style - a new innovation is the circle menu wherein players can select and choose items in realtime. Level wise, expect branching paths, heavy puzzle cooperation, and exceptional replay-ability, especially when the HD version is full of extras – from galleries, perks, tweaks, and drop in drop out co-op. This is indeed on of Capcom's classics!

Great game!
I have greatly enjoyed the D and D series. There is nothing more exhilarating and more satisfying than slapping the living soul out of a Kobold as the Cleric or slashing a goblin as a Warrior. These ganes stick true to the arcade RPG makeup. The game is a near perfect port, and reigns king of the fantasy arcade games.

Best version to date!
This the best version look no further, better then the digital
version on the US psn store which only support 720p while this one support 1080p native plus etc...

Oh yeah better then the arcade!

Arcade experience!
Close to the arcade experience! Best ever port to a home console. Iron Galaxy versions sucks so get this instead.

Skimped Menus/Options Mar A Great Collection
I imported this set after playing the PSN (US) version and wanted to own the set on disc (I'm a sucker for owning actual discs with artwork etc. First off, the games are all in Japanese (for this disc set). The games are arcade faithful ports and they look and play superbly. There is drop in and out coop, online leader boards and one of the cooler features of this set vs. the US PSN version is the ability to color swap your characters palettes.
Now for the head scratchingly bad parts:
First, the menus are drab and ugly. Plain blue blackgrounds with simple text. This is a stark difference from the PSN version which features some really gorgeous artwork/ambience. Second, it's missing the view/angle options that the PSN version has, gone are the challenges on the sides of the screen and the "arcade cabinet" views. You still have scan lines etc. but the options are very limited compared to the PSN version. Third, and most annoying (at least until I figure it out) is that there doesn't seem to be any way to leave/quit an online coop match. If you die and your continue timer runs down to zero, you just become a spectator FOREVER. I can't find any way to leave a match other than restarting my system. Hopefully this is patched.
So overall, it's nice to own this set on disc, but in all reality if you have access to the PSN, save the 25.00 and buy it there (US is 14.99). You really aren't gaining anything here, in fact, it feels like you're getting less. Again, gameplay is outstanding, but the overall package is sorta meh.
