Good arcade stick although not the best
The Taito Egret Mini 2 Arcade stick is definitely something you wish to purchase for games such as the shmups (Tatsujin, Tiger Heli, Halley's Comet, etc). On the good side the build quality looks seems pretty reasonable and offers the ability to change from a 4 way to an 8 way stick mode (and easy to change on the underside). Buttons seem solid and the buttons for credits and game start as well as opening the menu to change games are welcome additions. On the downer I found this difficult to use if you intend to use on your lap or on a surface make sure you have the correct height profile so that you can utilise the stick properly. I have not found that sweet spot for height and distance yet and find it impacts on my gaming. Ensure the arcade stick is on a stable surface that is not slippery otherwise and should work fine. I have used other arcade sticks such as the Hori arcade stick for Nintendo Switch and that seemed better to me when used with other games (although admittedly that is more expensive). The other point is the USB cable could be longer to allow sitting more away from a larger TV although one could explore a USB cable extender potentially. Overall a pretty good arcade stick, but make sure you have it it setup on a surface compatible with your play style.
