Storyline:
The long-established Obinata Fireworks Shop is being forced to move out due to the town's redevelopment. Keitaro Obinata (Riku Hagiwara), who grew up there, has been struggling alone to complete the legendary firework "Shuhari" in place of his father, who disappeared. One day at the end of summer, Kaoru (Kotone Furukawa), his childhood friend who now lives in Tokyo, returns to her hometown. When Sentaro, Keitaro's older brother who works at city hall, tells them that the deadline to move out is tomorrow, the three reunite for the first time in four years. As they clash with one another as if trying to recover lost time and bonds, they come up with a surprising plan surrounding the completion and launch of the firework. What hope has been entrusted to the legendary firework, and what is "Hanarokusho," the key to it all? When sparks light up the night and a new morning arrives, what futures will Keitaro and the others grasp for themselves?
