Composer Brian Tyler is renowned for his blockbuster work across film and video games. Gigues, rough strings, Hollywood percussion, and subtle electronic touches abound throughout the Black Flag score, with Tyler variously pirouetting and strutting through dramatic and action-packed cues — while avoiding piratical clichés. Joe Henson and Alexis Smith (aka The Flight), plus Christian Henson, contributed tense, lively Caribbean-flavoured tracks for Black Flag’s multiplayer mode. Composer Olivier Deriviere crafted the scintillating soundtrack for the story campaign Freedom Cry in collaboration with Haitian music ensemble La Troupe Makandal.
