Item Description

Astonishia Story is based on the classical 2D Korean RPG game that was originally published for PC in 1994 and later ported to the Korean handheld console GP32.

While the classical game play has been adopted from the original, the game takes advantage of the new PSP™ hardware. The entire scenery has been adjusted to the 16:9 widescreen display and all graphics have been enriched.

Further new additions include a punch command as well as lots of new special effects.

Too classic
Since it is an old Korean game remake, the game play is very much like an old Super nintendo rpg game.

Good remake!
Having played the PC Version before the graphical improvements on this remake were more than obvious. The sorroundings are beautifully detailed with animated objects all over the place (especially in towns). Magical effects also make nice of the PSP\'s transparency.

The battle system is round based and with up to 7 fighters (yes, your party can get that big) on each side even normal battles can last a few minutes. The difficulty curve in general is quite steep but you\'ll be rewarded with dramatic encounters and sympathetic characters.

I had much fun until now and managed to play for around 15hrs without knowing any Korean (I did get stuck sometimes though).

The only drawback - except one game interrupting bug - is the outdated menu system which makes you click through several submenus only to use a potion.

Get it if you like RPGs and beautiful 2D graphics. It\'s worth playing even if you don\'t understand Korean.
