back shot -EP- is the major-label debut release from Kyoto-born singer-songwriter Masanori Otoda, a rising artist who amassed over 500 million streams through his independent music career before making the leap to a major label. The EP is headlined by"back shot," the opening theme for the second cour of the anime Yomi no Tsugai (Daemons of the Shadow Realm).

It also includes "Wedding," which was created for his older sister's wedding and has surpassed 100 million plays, and the Remix ver. of "fake face dance music," which became a viral hit in countries across Asia and has surpassed 150 million plays, as well as the Piano Ver. of "Shiawase no Iro," which also drew attention as the ending theme of the drama "Gimbap and Onigiri." Otoda releases this EP collecting his signature songs, including those from his indie days, an early best-of that can be called an introduction to his work.
