Synopsis:
The Royal Guard (Squad Zero), the special task force serving the Soul King, moves to intercept Yhwach as he attempts to enter the Soul King Palace. But the Quincy king and his imperial guard shatter the Royal Guard's ferocious Bankai and finally set foot in the Soul King's grand inner sanctum. Entrusted with protecting the Soul King by Ichibe Hyosube, Ichigo Kurosaki and the others fight on. However, through Yhwach's scheme, Ichigo strikes down the Soul King with his own blade. The death of the Soul King--this meant the collapse of the Three Worlds. "Distortions" appear in each world, and omens of ruin begin to cover everything. The Gotei 13 joins forces with the remnants of the Quincies and heads for the Soul King Palace. But the Soul King Palace has fallen into the hands of the Wandenreich (Invisible Empire) and been transformed into Wahrwelt.
