Item Description

Ryu Saeba (Jackie Chan) is ace private eye 'City Hunter' who is hired to return the daughter of a wealthy Japanese newspaper owner. The search leads Ryu to a cruise ship that is hijacked by mercenaries. Comedic and violent nonsense follows. This is an adaptation of the popular Japanese animated series, it fails as an adaptation but succeeds as a fun Jackie Chan flick.

Great!!
This is a silly movie by Wong Jing film a man who has made a living out of plunging new depths silliness.Fans of Jackie Chan will be surprised by some of the casual gun play & sexual innuendo which are usually big no-no's in his movie.City Hunter is definitely a odd film in the Chan catalog but is still highly enjoyable slapstick fun.

Good movie for jackie chan fans.
I liked the movie and bought this version of dvd. Rated 4 stars for the movie only.

The product information is misleading, mandarin only has stereo 2.0. DTS and DD 5.1 only applies to cantonese.

For the fans of Jackie, City Hunter and video games
Though it doesn't compare to the original animation it's based on, Jackie Chan's antics are what make stand out of the rest of the movies out there. Ironically it could be the best adaptation of an arcade fighting game when compared to other video game movies.

Fun And Action On A Ship!
With a star studded cast of Jackie Chan, Leon Lai, Chimgmy Yau and Joey Wong. The acting of the cast is good and they excel well in their roles in the movie. Jackie Chan is funny as usual, Chimgmy possesses a sexy aura and Leon Lai display his cold and cool look. Its all action and fun in City Hunter!

Fun & action
This movie is really a classic and I was happy to see it digitally remastered. Jackie Chan's humor, the appearance of many nice ladies (e.g. Joey Wong) and the funny story combined with lots of action make watching this movie really a joy. Moreover an interesting interview with Jackie Chan is included on the DVD. Very recommendable.
