Good game
You play as a cat that died and went to the afterlife for cats I guess and you get a broom to attack with it's over head view like links awakening or a link to the past and so far I like it it's good I've only just started so I haven't made it to any bosses but they're on here and if you want to go and fight them too then go and buy this game and get cracking.

Crypt Custodian is a fantastic game.
The game starts off with your character Pluto the cat using up his nine lives and trying to get into where all the good kitties go.
Unfortunately Pluto is refused entry and sent to where all naughty animals end up. On his journey Pluto meets some weird and wonderful characters that help him on his journey. In the usual Metroidvania formula exploration is rewarded with new moves that help you explore even more of the world. The world is nice and varied and has some very clever uses for your new found moves. The puzzles that require you to use some of your moves feels great to work out and are some of the best in the genre. The combat too is nicely balanced and using your broom to sweep away the enemies feels great. Your melee weapon can be improved upon with the usual buffs, bigger sweeps, larger projectiles and dash and jump attack combinations. The game isn't the hardest on normal which is what I played on but it does have a hard mode as well.
The graphics are beautiful and the sound is great. The music is ok but the sound effects are excellent giving the combat a nice chunky feel.
The map is quite big and there are some really cool areas that have great variety in the way you traverse around them.
If you do get lost you can buy hints showing you where you need to visit next. I never needed to use it but it is always a welcome option for those that might. I completed the game 100% which took me around 12 hours so there is a good amount of game here on offer. Plus there is the usual boss rush mode as well as a nice bonus mode for fully completing it.
