EDF is just a lot of fun.
So the game isn't in English. It's still very accessible to play if you have ever played one of the later entries, a lot of the same things apply.
This game features two player characters in a world of aliens invading using mostly giant ants, spiders, ufo's and robots. While I have personally played EDF 2 on Vita, and EDF 4, and EDF 5 on PS4, you don't really need to have played any of the games before or after this to enjoy the game.
Graphics are a bit rough in place, but that was a lot of the charm behind the game's art presentation.
On Switch 2 this game only has the slightest of glitches here and there, with the worst being on the third from final mission when you face off against the largest possible number of enemies. All that happens is that the game freezes for two or three frames, and then your right back into the action, four or five times in total in one mission.
This is a much better EDF game than World Brothers, despite this game having the least variety in enemies and level layouts in the main series. This game perfectly encapsulates where EDF came from, and gets you all the more excited for where the franchise might take you next!!

EDF EDF EDF for switch
No English, but no bother, watch a vid on the vita release to get your options menu translated. That's all you'll need. EDF doesn't need English exactly. Pick ranger or wing diver and go to town killing aliens bugs. My personal favorite EDF game on switch. No online. No local split screen. But more satisfying than edf world brothers. Don't let the no English deter you, EDF EDF EDF 4 life
Great game
It is a fun action game
