Item Description

Caught between two rival factions in war-torn Africa, you are sent to take out "The Jackal", a mysterious character who has rekindled the conflict between the warlords, jeopardizing thousands of lives. In order to fulfil your mission you will have to play the factions against each other, identify and exploit their weaknesses, and neutralise their superior numbers and firepower with surprise, subversion, cunning and, of course, brute force.

Great shooter in Africa
Loves the Far Cry franchise. Lots of improvement with updated graphics and gameplay with this game. Very challenging. Get this game to complete your collection.

a bit old but still good
Graphics have aged, but nice gameplay, good storyline and very long lifetime !
Sometimes a bit long and boring, especially when you have to cross the huge landscapes on foot or by car while looking constantly at your mini-map.
Fortunately, the missions are many and very varied, they offer a lot of challenge and action.
Many side quests significantly extend the length of the game ..
Many hours of gameplay await you !

Africa Comes to Life! Gorgeous Visuals, Great Gameplay!
I enjoyed playing FarCry 2 very much! Great gameplay, arsenal of weapons to choose from, and the story is very well laid out. If I may say so, the plot settled in the backdrop very nicely. Huge world to explore with NPCs to interact with and plenty of decisions to be made. Even on the XBOX360, it looked great and handled nicely.

My only problem was the no quick-travelling option and re-spawn of enemies at checkpoints. No real diversity in enemies encountered as well...just plain militia or plain militia with more fancy assault rifles...

Overall; the game was great fun with plenty of hours to add value to a single play-through.

Interesting FPS
Far Cry 2 takes the player to Africa, where deserts, oasis, railyard and factories are placed all over for the player to find. FC2 boasts excellent graphics, immersing the player in photorealistic visuals. A large sandbox with plenty of missions round up the improvements for this sequel. A definite winner from Ubisoft.
