Storyline:
In AD 2201, Earth had healed from its war with Gamilas and was moving toward unprecedented prosperity. Former Yamato warriors Kodai, Shima, and Sanada served as escorts for an interplanetary resource transport fleet. During the transport voyage, Kodai receives a distress transmission from an unknown star seeking aid for Earth. Sensing danger, the Yamato crew boards the Yamato sleeping in the submarine dock and departs on a new journey.
