Solid tactical RPG
The job system is very well designed. Each character can simultaneously equip a main job, which determines usable weapon types and stat growth, a sub job, and their unique job. The unique job being always equipped is a key feature, as some of them contain very interesting abilities and being always equipped creates a strong incentive to build each character differently in order to make the most of their personal talents.

Each job has a tech tree, and any active abilities from an equipped job are available in combat. Up to 3 passive abilities can be equipped, even while the job they were learned from is not.

Equipment types have themes, affecting specific stats, or in the case of weapons having different areas of affect, and equipment can have enchantments for additional bonuses.

The battle system itself is just complex enough that there's meaningful differences between the damage types, and so that positioning and use of terrain is relevant, without being so complicated that players need to constantly stop and check turn timers or perform mental math to be effective.

The choice between 3 difficulty levels allows for an enjoyable experience for both casual and hardcore players.

All together, these features give players a lot of freedom to play the way they want to.
