ICONOLOGY is a crime-suspense visual novel and the debut title of IFChronicle, featuring a unique investigation system centered on the White Cube, an apparatus that transforms suspects’ thoughts into cognitive paintings that can be deciphered for clues.
In a near future where increasingly complex and brutal crimes have become a growing threat, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department establishes the secret Experimental Task Force and uses the White Cube to investigate the minds of suspects. Haruho Tsubakiya, an art-school student whose parents were brutally murdered in an unsolved case ten years earlier, is recruited as a Special Investigator because of her talent for deciphering the cognitive paintings produced by the device. Driven by a desire for truth and revenge, Haruho investigates crimes by entering a second crime scene—the suspect’s subconscious.
