Jump into wacky-chaotic battles with lightning-fast, yet accessible gameplay in this unique 2D action-brawler. Master the battlefield by leveling up your warriors into true legends and using their unique special moves and weapons to take down the wicked sorcerer and save the galaxy!

Containing the soul of a powerful demon, the legendary Kusanagi Stone can grand godly powers to those who awaken it but has remained hidden over the centuries. Now, the wicked sorcerer Origami, destroyer of worlds and lord of darkness, has summoned ancient warriors to find the stone for him, cursing their souls and turning them into animals in the process.

Luckily, a mysterious monk called Ramen manages to save four warrior souls from Origami’s call: Hero, Baby, Jazz, and Aros, together are the Jitsu Squad!

Jitsu Squad is a fast-paced fighting game inspired by old-school brawlers from the 90s, paired with the exciting fights of modern beat ‘em ups that remain true to the age-old rule: easy to learn, hard to master. Control the entire Jitsu Squad in single-player mode, play with up to 4 people in local couch co-op, or use the Tag Team Mode to save the galaxy from Origami’s evil plans.

Wonderful Beat-Em Up with terrible issues

This game is super fun and an absolute blast especially when playing with friends. The art style is very unique with enemies and characters having very goofy and energetic expressions. The combat is very fun but this game suffers from a lot of issues. First off, the game is HORRIBLY optimized for the Nintendo Switch. I'm not sure how it runs on other consoles but MAN, this game has some terrible lag. Even when you're playing alone, the game will lag heavily when there are multiple enemies on the screen which makes it super difficult to do combos properly or causing you to get easily stun-locked by enemies and bosses without a moment to escape. Many of my game overs were attributed to the game lagging.
Secondly, some bosses will leave the screen but still attack you without you being able to retaliate; some even spamming attacks despite you even using a counter. It's like the counter only works when it wants to during boss fights. Despite all of these issues, I was able to beat the game but it left me with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
All in all, I'd say don't buy this game until the developer(s) release ANOTHER patch that addresses these issues.

I hope they fix it soon. It's such a bummer that a fun game like this is handicapped by its terrible performance TT _ TT

Great game

Great beat'em up game.
Lots of combo and fast paced combat.
