Kingdom III: Rising Realms takes place in a shattered world where buildings have crumbled, lands have become barren, and its people have been scattered across a realm filled with ancient monuments and mysterious islands. As the Monarch, players wield the Crown of Creation and must restore their Kingdom while preparing for the return of the monstrous Greed and its sinister ruler, the Greed King.

The adventure combines side-scrolling strategy, micro-strategy, and tower defense with Kingdom's distinctive minimalist presentation. Players travel between unexplored islands, establish and strengthen their settlements, recruit subjects, and prepare their defenses against the Greed that emerges when night falls.

Exploration is a major part of the experience, with a procedurally generated world offering different islands to discover. Ancient monuments, mythical creatures, and powerful artifacts can be encountered during journeys, providing new possibilities for protecting and developing the Kingdom.
