The Lunar Remastered Collection is a revival of two classic JRPGs, Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, which originally debuted in the '90s. This collection brings the games to modern consoles (PS4 and PS5) with enhanced features such as remastered 2D pixel art, HD cutscenes, and updated English voice acting. Players can choose between original and updated visuals and enjoy new quality-of-life improvements like faster battle options and improved combat mechanics. The remaster also adds language support in German and French, broadening accessibility for new audiences.

Both games follow epic, fantasy-driven narratives centered on young heroes embarking on adventures to combat rising evil forces. Silver Star Story follows Alex, inspired by the legendary Dragonmaster Dyne, as he and his friends face the looming threat of the Magic Emperor. Eternal Blue takes place 1,000 years later, focusing on Hiro and his journey with a mysterious girl named Lucia, as they confront dark forces threatening their world

One of my favorites

What a pleasure to dive into Lunar again! I played Saturn versions back then and it remains a high quality JRPG, with no wasted time on cutscenes and everything. Pure gameplay, nice colorful graphics, absolute no regrets!

Two Great Games on One Cartridge

These are two great turn-based rpg's on one cartridge. I never played the first original game on Sega CD but I did on the Playstation. Maybe it's just me but I wonder if the so called included classic version is truly that. It just seems like the game has a fuzzy look to it and the voices seem the same as the remaster. Either way, I think it's just best to play the remastered version. I think it's real neat that if you go in the menu and play Alex's flute you can listen to all the songs of the game. Don't wait to pick these up. They may increase in price again like the previous versions.
