Fun and Easy Gameplay
This is the second title of the Mario & Sonic Olympics series.
Unlike the first, the gameplay is not as tiring, as the events are taken place at snowy areas, which means that the player only needs to use the Wii Remote to steer, respond (waggle, press button, etc) at a specific time, or simply control the character horizontally.
Moreover, there is an adequate number of events and characters to choose from too. Player may select one of the 16 characters from Mario world or from Sonic world respectively to join in skating, snowboarding, ice hockey, bobsleigh, and other events.
The features that I find most interesting are the figure skating and the dream events. It's always fun to watch different characters dancing on the ice in figure skating with various music selection. Dream events are held in either Mario or Sonic world. Fans will feel the fun competing in familiar environments and music settings.
In addition, there are festival mode (competition day-to-day, challenging other characters and rivals aka unplayable characters like Rouge), multiplayer mode, shopping district where items such as attires for Mii, music pieces, and ornament (like stickers, for the customization of ski, snowboard, and bobsleigh) can be purchased with Star Points earned in the games.
Unfortunately, the game can become boring sooner due to its low difficulty to keep players from collecting emblems to unlocking more events and shopping items.
