Nobuo Uematsu, one of the most influential composers in the world who has created numerous masterpieces including the Final Fantasy series, presents his first original concert work. This album marks his debut on the prestigious classical label "Decca Classics," with performances by the world-renowned London Symphony Orchestra. "Meregnon" is a symphonic fantasy series built around the concept of an "imaginary soundtrack" with no existing game, where creators from the world collaborate to tell stories through music. The Japanese edition includes exclusive narration by Rie Totsuka, a member of Uematsu's own group "Nobuo Uematsu con TIKI." This makes it a special version where fans of game music can experience a new chapter of Uematsu's sound with Japanese narration. The story is set in a kingdom locked in ice. A small wooden robot with a heart, Kyugo, sets out on a journey to find its creator, Nuobi. As it confronts the "Ice Wind Dancer" who rules over the eternal winter, a tale of courage and hope unfolds - one that seeks to restore warmth to a frozen world. A new symphonic fantasy by Nobuo Uematsu is born. Performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Eckehard Stier. Recorded in November 2025 at Abbey Road Studios, London (music), and February 2026 in Tokyo (narration).
