Japan Abe Natsuki has lived her life "pursuing" everything. Since middle school, she has controlled her food intake and pursued the beauty of a "woman" while looking down on her growing body. This work "Pursuit" can be said to be the culmination of that. Yakushima was chosen as the setting for the shoot.
"I wanted to express my natural self while surrounded by nature. Facing the camera in Yakushima, where there are no convenience stores, I think I was able to fully express the current Abe Natsuki. I climbed big trees and waded into the cold water of a mountain stream. My legs were a little weak, but I also tried shooting in a cliff-like valley! While shooting in nature, I had the real feeling that 'I am alive now!' and the feeling that 'I have to live in the present to the fullest' welled up inside me. Both mentally and in terms of my outlook on life, nature gave me great power."
