Awesome!!!
This game is one of the few good beat 'em ups out there & if you liked God Hand & Killer 7 from the PS2 era, then give this game a try. The only thing is the manual & the tutorial are in Japanese, don't worry the Cutscenes & Options are in English, so you can still enjoy the story! Just use the internet to figure out all your moves, since there are quite a few options in that department.

Great despite flaws.
No More Heroes is definitely worth the purchase despite the designs flaws that can make playing it somewhat of a chore at times. The game friendly even though some of the text is not in English everything is easy to figure out. The game has the old school hack and slash feel to it accompanied by a crazy story and great humor. The only complaints I have are the somewhat long load times, censorship (ps3), the tedious open world, and the occasional freeze up. Despite the issues it is still a blast to play. Hopefully they port the sequel as well.

Needs Work
The load times are really bad e.g. load an area 20 seconds, take two steps, load for 20 seconds, show a cut scene, load the area again.

There is a lot of texture pop-in and some of the controls are poorly thought out e.g. while fighting quickly rotating the right thumbstick is uncomfortable.

A really bad Wii port.

There's nothing else like it.
Its style and sense of humour turned simple slash 'em up into something genuinely enjoyable. We definitely need more games like No More Heroes.

Better than WII version
I bought WII version last year, game play and graphic is better in PS3 version.
If you want to play the best WII game on PS3, this is the game you should buy.
Plus you get a stack of erotic postcards
