Better with friends...

...I assume. I do not know anyone else with the game so could only do the picross puzzles to unlock all the stuff. I could not do any battling (unless I really missed something in the menu... which is possible because my Japanese skills are horrible).
Just the puzzles and the nice mini-vids upon completion are enough for the sale price I got it at, but they were very easy puzzles.
