One of the best Phantasy Star
If you own a PSP and you are a fan of Phantasy Star Portable, you should definitely have this one. It's a very deep game with a very good story and mechanics, perfect for newcomers or veterans of Phantasy Star.

Quite satisfying
Personally I don't really like the battle system which can become quite tedious over time, but I like the rich voice acting of the game. Though not directly related to PS3 version, this game can be a good company to learn phantasy star universe.

Phantasy Star Portable
Wide character customization options, colorful characters and a story that keeps you guessing, PSP is a must for anyone; even those who have never played a Phantasy Star game before.

I Beat the game, the gameplay is great if your a phantasy star fan you will love this game. The story in itself is ok (not that great) well....to say the game is missions there are cutscenes.....buuuuuut they don't drag you into the game but what can you expect from a action RPG, the photon moves are cool looking pretty flashy.phantasy star fans will look past the cons and will enjoy this game, but if your new to the series and or not a fan of A-RPGs this game may not be a good place to start, the voice acting for the game is not that great, you will often find yourself turning you volume off and just reading the text but if you look past the bad voice acting and the......semi-good story line (.....if there is one) the gameplay is great, nice moves, fun and addicting.

PHANTASY STAR PORTABLE
a really fun game that could have been better. on the good side, there are a wealth of character creation and customization options in this game. you can spend a long time making cosmetic choices at the start of the game, then there's an incredibly huge number of weapons and skills that you can develop throughout the game itself. one unfortunate problem is that the camera distance is a little far to really see the cosmetic subtleties you might agonize over. camera in general is not as intuitive as you might want for all the action that's going on, particularly when you use the zoomed shooting mode to zero in on flying targets. visually, the world(s) are well-designed and distinct from each other. the one gripe i have about them is that you're not free to run around between missions on foot, but have to select options from menus over static maps. character interaction is also like watching a slideshow, although they do put in a number of non-plot-related conversations that let you get to know the characters a little better. don't get me wrong, this game is FUN, but you'll have to learn to ignore occasional camera frustrations and some uninspiring presentation to get into the story a little more.
