Item Description

When a girl is being held as a witch in a trial, she needs two very sharp minds to help save her. Professor Layton and Naruhodo are going to join hands in the latest mind twister Layton vs Gyakuten Saiban. Gamers join Layton and his student Luke in the investigation phase. The two will search for evidence, clear puzzles in the Labyrinth Town and find out the truth about the trials. The lawyer Naruhodo is going to defend the girl in court. The opposing council has prepared a long witness list, Naruhodo has to find holes in each of their statements in court, drill for details and use physical evidence to contradict their story.

Nice game
To make it short, for those who likes Ace Attorney, especially the one that is written by Shu Takumi, this is for you. Since it is written (might be almost) completely by Shu Takumi, there is a lack of backstory for Professor Layton. However, the professor's presence does made a huge impact in the story. Cheer up, this is the first Ace Attorney to play on the prosecution's side (for a moment).

The puzzle and court trials are somewhat balanced as there is no truly mind-boggling puzzles in Layton series and the trials are quite easy than the Ace Attorney Trilogy.

The story is nice, and it is (spoiler) mind-boggling if you finished the game.

Best of Both Words!
Love puzzles? Check. Love the courtroom? Check. Being fans of both games. Always was curious to what Pheonix Wright would sound like.
