Item Description

Since 1987, Mega Man has been changing and inspiring the lives of fans all across the world. Perhaps it's his flawless ability in representing the good of world - a robotic beacon of humanity's potential and ideals - or the fact that Mega Man is perhaps the strongest robot ever! Whatever it may be, it cannot be denied that Mega Man as a character and as a video game has always been a game changer.

In this classic iteration of Mega Man in his earliest form, every aspect of this iconic hero is faithfully recreated for assembly and articulation. From the pre-painted shades that match the exact blue and grays, to multiple Buster Cannon parts (charged and standard), extra hand parts, and two interchangeable faces to match the pose.

There is also a standard and charged shot attachment; when not shooting, Mega Man's Buster Cannon has a transparent red plastic piece within the barrel. Finally, and prepared as always, Mega Man comes equipped with an in-scale E Canister!

Poseable and Durable
This is one of the best Rockman/Mega Man related model kits I've seen. It is fairly accurate to the Capcom artwork down to the tiny details (though the hands/arm cannon and torso are a little small compared to the feet and head), it is quite durable (doesn't tend to fall apart while posing as much as other Rockman model kits), and it is extremely poseable, with joints that are quite clever. It stands roughly 5 inches when completed, making it larger that most other Rockman model kits as well.

Although the model comes in plastic colors that are fairly accurate, it will not exactly match the photos if left unpainted. Mostly the differences are in the joints and neck which are light blue rather than the blue-gray that is pictured. Still, even unpainted it looks quite good.

As with other such model kits, the instructions are in Japanese but are pretty easy to follow even if you can't read them. This kit does require removing the pieces from the frames which will usually leave "nubs" which are also not shown in the photos (naturally). The nubs can be sanded down and painted over but if this is not done they will be visible on the final model. Also, some of the nubs end up on the insides of parts where they sometimes must be cut or sanded off just to get the parts to fit together properly. This is easy to do, however, and other that this, no special tools are particularly needed for assembly.
