Ryu Ga Gotoku2: A MUST PLAY FOR PS2 Owners
There are so many great action games for PS2 and I'm sure one could name several of them as I mentioned it. However, for RYU GA GOTOKU2 (Yakuza2) is just another one of those GREATS that can't be missed. Surely, you could argue that the game does include some of the stuff that has nothing to do with the game's main plot, especially for all the extra mini games that players encounter during the adventure mode.
BUT this is why it makes RYU GA GOTOKU2 so unique is that other than just being an action-fighting game, it has its own highly original style and its very own world. Now, we kind of see this style for RPG games where players interact with the games own created world of fantasy, and RGG2 does the same and not only does it have GREAT Action fighting, but you get to actually experience the JAPANESE CITY NIGHT LIFE. The environment or the city itself resembles Shinjuku or Kabukicho in a remodified way, so you do actually get to experience a close representation to the JAPANESE CITY NIGHT LIFE filled with dark corners, red-light districts, strip clubs, bars, etc...
But this is why it is a GREAT GAME because it is very real in reflecting the life in a city. This game is like no other actions games, even though some people might see some similarities between the GOD FATHER and RGG2, because the designs are so detailed, often flashy and colorful.
If you're ever the one who finds yourself romanticizing being a Yakuza, and being the one who upholds the honor and respect, while beating up low-life mafia scumbags, then this is the GAME FOR YOU. This game unlike the GOD FATHER, shows us the Japanese Mafia. Although the stories are fictional, but it offers a general view of the Yakuza. If you like GOD FATHER, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME to you.
This second episode of the game is an improvement to the first one. Don't worry about not having played the first one because there are flashbacks that you could look at before the game begins.
