This is also a very good game. I don't think it's a continue on Secret of Mana, but this is a Mana game on it's own. Or rather a Legend of the Sword game.

Really good music and original. The menu is different from Secret of Mana and you really have to get used to it. The good thing is, every character you start the game with, begins in an other castle and has his or her own storyline! Very FREAKING GOOD!

Very good game!
Starting the game off was a pain because I could never figure out how to leave the first castle. After I talked to everyone, I was put into an environment like in Secret of Mana 1. The controls are the same as in Secret of Mana which is a plus because the controls were great in the first place. I had a lot of trouble finding my way around in the game until I started using online guides on how to play it. Once I figured the game out, it turned out to be one of the best games on the Super Nintendo library.

The intro was great with well-composed music and backgrounds. The animation and graphics are just spectacular for the Super Nintendo days. The cutscenes are pretty cool. The story from what I gathered from other people's translation guides seems pretty good and can catch RPG fan's attentions. Starting a new game was something I had never seen in another game before. You select 3 out of 6 characters. The first character you select, you start the game as. I am not 100% on it, but I think they have different beginnings or intros. I thought that was something interesting to point out.

The music is very well made, almost as good as Chrono Trigger's music. Most of the sounds are the same as Secret of Mana 1 which fit the game pretty well.

The controls were as good as Secret of Mana 1. The menus were pretty easy to figure out. Equipping items or using them were pretty well designed and easy to figure out like in Chrono Trigger telling you what improves what for each character. The same goes for the items.

Gameplay wise, it's a fun game, however, if you don't know Japanese or don't want to look up translation guides, this game will be very difficult to figure out. It's sad that this game was not released in America. If you are a fan of SQUARESOFT games, definitely pick this game up because they are incredibly rare and expensive!
