Still the best SRPG series
Shining Force III was the final entry in the legendary series, but it was split into three parts (scenarios), with the save file carrying information across so that it forms one epic game. You can enjoy this on its own, but if you enjoy it I'd recommend racking the other two parts down to complete the story.
