Space Invaders Extreme 2

I didn't expect this to be such a great game, but it is! Space Invaders lives on!

A nice game for when you're on the go!

I admit this was more a nostalgia buy than anything else I had an Atari 2600 back in the day and remembered many fun hours playing this with my friends but I was quite surprised to learn that it's a great game in it's own right.
It's the perfect kind of game for when you just want to pick up your DS play for 15-30mins and put it back down again. The fact that you don't need a stylus to play makes it even better!

Nice Follow Up!!!

Space Invaders Extreme 2 is a great follow up to its predecessor. Its an addition thats worth getting with the great price offered. The gamplay is insaintly fun to play & if you like ingenious arcade shooter, this is the game for you to pick up. Its just as worthy as the previous installment.

Essential !!!!

As brilliant as the first game is, this expansive sequel blows it out of the water. New game modes and even more frantic gameplay. Mega-awesome!

Great Retro Shooter

Space Invaders Extreme 2 is an inventive re-make of the original. Its soundtrack and the sound effects integrate well, making it seem like a pseudo rhythm game. It makes good use of both screens. You often have to avoid the ships on the lower screen, while aiming for ships on the upper ones to activate bonus rounds. It has a tree of difficulty levels, so you can progress based on your comfort level, but be warned- it is a frantic shooter. My father found it too frantic to engage for long periods of time. I only used this game with the paddle controller and it worked great. I did not try the normal mode of control, but assume it works well. Graphics are a bit trippy and can be distracting but do compliment the retro theme. Overall a solid buy. It's a quick play-through. Level branching expands the replay-ability of it, but this is more of a pick-up-and-play game than one you'll spend long chunks of time at once on.
