Stage Tour is a new rhythm-action game from RedOctane Games that brings back the instrument-driven music-game experience with 90+ officially licensed songs, 180+ collectible Gibson®, Epiphone®, and Kramer® guitars, 50+ bandmates, and a new roguelite Tour Mode; the game is now confirmed to launch on December 10, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Stage Tour is a rhythm-action game developed and published by RedOctane Games, a studio founded by veterans of the Guitar Hero and DJ Hero development communities. Designed as a modern evolution of classic note-highway rhythm games, Stage Tour combines familiar music gameplay with customizable bands, multiple instrument options, competitive play, cooperative multiplayer, seasonal content, and live events.
Players can build their own band from more than 50 unique bandmates, customize their lineup with official Gibson®, Epiphone®, and Kramer® instruments, and perform across a launch soundtrack containing more than 90 officially licensed songs spanning six decades of music. Confirmed artists include Metallica, The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Olivia Rodrigo, blink-182, Paramore, Slipknot, Muse, BABYMETAL & Electric Callboy, Weezer, Avril Lavigne, The Cure, Radiohead, Bad Omens, and others.
A major new addition is Tour Mode, a roguelite-style experience in which each run introduces new choices, challenges, and opportunities for the player's band, providing a more replayable structure than traditional rhythm-game play. Stage Tour also supports solo play and cooperative multiplayer for up to four players, with local and online options, including cross-platform play.
90+ Officially Licensed Songs
Rock through a launch soundtrack spanning six decades of music, with artists ranging from classic rock acts to modern metal, alternative, pop, and other contemporary styles. The confirmed lineup already includes artists such as Metallica, The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Paramore, Slipknot, Muse, The Cure, Radiohead, and Smash Mouth, with additional songs still being revealed before launch.
180+ Authentic Gibson®, Epiphone®, and Kramer® Guitars
Collect more than 180 officially branded in-game guitars through Stage Tour's partnership with Gibson. The collection allows players to personalize their musical identity while progressing through the game.
50+ Customizable Bandmates
Build a unique lineup from more than 50 bandmates, each with their own personality, appearance, stage presence, and unlockable cosmetic variants. Players can assign members to Lead, Groove, Drums, or Vocals.
New Roguelite Tour Mode
Take your band on an all-new Tour Mode where each run offers different choices, challenges, and opportunities. This roguelite structure is designed to give players an endlessly replayable way to progress and perform.
Multiple Ways to Play
Stage Tour supports Lead Guitar, Groove Guitar/Bass, Drums, Vocals, PC keyboard, and gamepad controls. Players can choose between 4-Lane and 5-Lane Arcade Mode, with Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert difficulties, plus Expert Plus for drums.
Solo and Up to Four-Player Multiplayer
Play alone or form a complete band with up to four players. Cooperative play supports both local and online multiplayer, with cross-platform play available so players can perform together across supported platforms.
Classic Rhythm Gameplay With Modern Features
Stage Tour retains the accessible note-highway gameplay associated with classic plastic-instrument rhythm games while introducing new gameplay systems, instruments, controller and keyboard support, deeper charting mechanics, competitive features, seasonal content, and live events.
Multiple Game Modes
Beyond the new Tour Mode, Stage Tour offers Quickplay, Practice and Judgements, and Karaoke, giving players different ways to play, improve their skills, or simply enjoy the music.
Nintendo Switch 2 Support
Stage Tour is officially coming to Nintendo Switch 2 alongside PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The official store notes that Nintendo Switch 2 drum hardware will not be available at launch, but players can use Joy-Con 2 controllers or the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller for drum charts.
Official Stage Tour Hardware
Players can purchase official instrument hardware, including the Stage Tour Kramer Wireless Guitar Controller, Drum Kit, and Wired Microphone. The official Band Kit combines the game with the guitar controller, drums, and microphone for a complete rhythm-game setup.
