Beloved eternal melodies performed in piano duo form. A long-awaited collection of Antonio Carlos Jobim masterpieces. Sadao Watanabe participates as a guest on three tracks. Lisa Ono, who leads Japan's Brazilian music scene with her one-of-a-kind warmth and refreshing voice, enjoys great popularity not only in Japan but also in other Asian regions in recent years. Her first new album in six and a half years is recorded in a duo format with pianist Masaki Hayashi, who also serves as producer, and centers on a songbook of Antonio Carlos Jobim, the founder of bossa nova, whose 100th birth anniversary arrives in January 2027 (it is the first Jobim collection by Lisa Ono in 19 years). Through an intimate yet improvisational duo sound that lets even their breathing be heard, the work freshly presents the essence of Jobim's masterpieces. Sadao Watanabe, the saxophonist who introduced bossa nova to Japan in the 1960s, joins as a guest on three tracks. Their first recording collaboration, after first meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil when Lisa Ono was nine years old and reuniting backstage at the festival "Tsukiji Jam 2025" held in April 2025, becomes a monumental collaboration in the history of bossa nova in Japan.
