Great puzzle game!!!
Tetris alone has always been a great game, now a 2-player battle frenzy!

The basics of Tetris are exactly the same as in the NES version. This game is 2 players with a number of characters to choose from, each with their own specials. You can build up your "attack" meter I guess is what it's called, to attack your opponent like destroying random places on their stack or making their stack grow. It's got a 1 vs CPU mode which is the same as head to head 2 player, but with a computer. It's got a story mode where you select your opponent similar to Mega Man and beat all the computers. As the game plays through, it gets steadily harder.

The music is definitely different. The sounds are good. The characters are all very unique. The controls are nice and fluid.

This is a fun game to play with all your puzzle maniac friends! You don't really need to know Japanese to play this. It may help a little as far as the menus are concerned, but the game is simple enough that you don't really need it. Tetris Battle Gaiden is easily worth the $40 I spent on it!
