The Beginning is the theme song of the 2012 live action movie of Ruroni Kenshin that stars Sato Takeru and Takei Emi. One OK Rock's heavy metal rock style borders on aggressive. It represents the fights that lingers from the end of the Bakufu period in the movie, any spark or strife can turn out into a great war. The use of English in the lyrics seems to echo the speed of westernization in the Meiji period.
