Entertaining Zelda Game Where You Actually Play As Zelda!
Pretty fun to actually play the heroine of the series instead of the iconic Link. While some of the gameplay mechanics do take a bit of getting used to the sheer exploration around the world and overall fun you'll get more then makes up for it. I do wish they would have went the route of the Breath Of The Wild/Tears Of The Kingdom style of graphical gameplay but this fits the theme just as nicely. Overall a game that shouldn't be soo overlooked as many will probably see it as a hidden gem as I and many others already do.
A beautifully done game, with a fairly decent localization, and great gameplay.
I originally ordered the multi-lingual version because the posts from one of the localizers gave me pause. Having played Echoes of Wisdom in both Japanese and English and comparing the texts of both I can happily say that aside from a few errors the localization was well done. (My biggest gripes are translating the kanji for spear/lance/javelin as "lance" when the guards carry a spear; and changing "greater power" to "prime energy" when prior games all referred to the triforce as "absolute power", "golden power" and "ultimate power".
Those gripes aside it's a great game with fun and engaging gameplay, and contrary to some who tried to decry it as "woke" it's not. The two instances of "they" pronoun use are also present in the original Japanese and make logical and linguistic sense based on the characters they're referring to (which I won't outright specify due to spoilers). And as for Zelda being a "girl boss" not only has she been more than just a pretty princess in distress in many games, the game brings up multiple times that she can't solve the rifts completely without Link. She's not replacing Link, she's being true to herself as both Zelda and the goddess Hylia, by protecting her people.
