The two albums released by Hikaru Utada as Utada on Island Def Jam Music Group have been remastered and are now available on vinyl for the first time.
This is her second U.S. album, originally released in 2009. Produced by Stargate, known for their work with Ne-Yo, Rihanna, and Beyonce, and Tricky Stewart, known for his work with Britney Spears, Madonna, and Mariah Carey. The album reached No. 69 on the Billboard 200, marking the first time in 23 years since Loudness "Lightning Strikes" reached No. 64 that a Japanese artist entered the Top 100 of the same chart. It includes the first single "Come Back to Me," which reached No. 5 on the U.S. Dance Club Songs chart, and "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence - FYI," which samples Ryuichi Sakamoto's composition and references the film "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence." Includes lyrics and Japanese translations.
