Will it work in the US? Yes!
If anyone in the U.S. is interested in buying this, I received the product and it plays perfectly on the PlayStation 5. The menu is in Japanese, but it’s easy enough to figure out how to play the movie. By default, it plays the English 5.1 audio with Japanese subtitles.

You can turn off the Japanese subtitles, and if you want, you can also play it in Japanese. However, there are no English subtitles. Everything else is in Japanese as well. I used ChatGPT to translate the menu options, but even without that, you could still figure out how to navigate it.

Overall, I recommend the product. It also came with a photo cell from the movie and the included art book.

Vampires still rule the night...
Let me start by stating that these discs WILL work on a Blu-ray / 4k player bought in the US, it's not region locked to Japan. The box holding the booklet and movie case is beautifully detailed and sturdy, doesn't feel inexpensive. It's mostly labeled in Japanese inside and out but has enough English for you to understand what CD you are holding. The main menu is in Japanese but I believe it's automatically set to play the English theatrical version (Japanese audio and Japanese subtitles are available as well which is a big plus!) As for the movie you can most definitely tell the difference from the original and this remastered version, they did an excellent job with both visuals and audio. The only downside is the high price, but if you have the funds I recommend springing for this limited edition classic before it's sold out.
