Village in the Shade is a life simulation and farming game set in the secluded Japanese mountain village of Kagatsu. Build a new life in this hand-painted countryside by tending fields, raising animals, fishing, hunting, customizing your home, and getting to know the villagers.
Behind Kagatsu's peaceful atmosphere lies a mysterious village code: don't talk to strangers, don't leave the village, and never go outside at night. Follow the rules and enjoy the countryside, or uncover the secrets of Kagatsu and discover what happens when those rules are broken. A Peaceful Life Mode is also available for players who want to enjoy village life without the horror elements.
