The 7-inch analog record featuring the theme songs from the TV anime "Pro Golfer Saru," originally created by manga artist Fujiko Fujio (A), is being reissued for the first time! Side A includes the opening theme "Yume wo Kachitoro," and Side B features the ending theme "My Way Sarumaru." Both songs were released in 1987 and are among the most famous tracks from "Pro Golfer Saru," performed by Ichiro Mizuki, the king of anime songs. "Yume wo Kachitoro" begins with the iconic line shouted by the protagonist Sarumaru (CV: Kyoko Tongu) in the storm, "Wai wa Saru ya! Pro Golfer Saru ya!" and is delivered with Mizuki's powerful and commanding voice. The lyrics were written by Fujiko Fujio (A) himself, known for his love of golf, incorporating golf terminology and vividly expressing the world of the manga. In contrast to the bold opening theme, "My Way Sarumaru" is a comical song that captures Sarumaru's pure and slightly mischievous personality, as suggested by its title. Both songs were created by the legendary Showa anime song duo Asei Kobayashi (composer) and Hiroshi Tsutsui (arranger), making this a must-have release for fans! Enjoy it together with the faithfully reproduced original jacket design.
