Yamashita Tomohisa (Yamapi) kicks start 2012 with a catchy solo song. Ai Texas is an energetic song with a bouncy rhythm and a whimsical style. It combines a refreshing beat with something nostalgic. An apt song for Yamapi's newest drama Saikou no Jinsei no Owarikata (The best way to end human life). He plays the second son of an undertaker and is forced to take over his father's business. Since their shop caters especially to the police force, they come across corpses with all sorts of stories. Learning about death taught him about life, and eventually let him find ways to mend his dysfunctional family.
