The latest installment in the Grand Theft Auto Series is by far the most anticipated one if not the most anticipated game of 2013. With GTA 5, Rockstar Games raises the bar once again at the end of this console generation. Actually being the 15th game in this series, the fictional universe introduced in Grand Theft Auto 4 continues. The story is set in Los Santos in the (fictional) state of San Andreas and all surrounding areas included. It is based on the modern Los Angeles, California as we know it today. The world is bigger than the worlds of Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto 4 together.Rockstar Games claims that Grand Theft Auto 5 thrives to be the biggest open world game ever developed to date and will allow you to choose one out of three playable protagonists, Michael, Trevor or Franklin. All characters have their own background story and life. Michael, a retired bank robber in his early 40's who lives off his savings from his active days in Rockford Hills, an upper-class suburb based on Beverly Hills. Trevor, Michaels former partner in crime who lives in the outskirts in a caravan victim to his drug addiction and Franklin who makes his living as a repo-man for a cold-blooded car dealership.
