Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a tactical role‑playing game (strategy RPG) for Nintendo Switch 2, continuing the long-running Fire Emblem series with a new story, characters, and strategic battlefield systems. Set in the prosperous Dagdan Empire, the game revolves around a grand tournament known as the Heroic Games, where warriors compete for the chance to have a single wish granted.
Players follow the stories of four main protagonists—Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda—each with their own motivations, backgrounds, and unique abilities. The narrative unfolds through their interwoven storylines, allowing players to experience the world from multiple perspectives as they strive for victory.
Gameplay centers on the series’ signature turn-based tactical combat, where players command units on grid-based battlefields, carefully positioning them and exploiting strengths and weaknesses to overcome enemies. Between battles, players can explore the capital city of Dagsion and surrounding areas, recruit allies, train units, gather resources, and prepare strategically for upcoming encounters.
