Sweet Agnes Vinyl by Masayoshi Takanaka is a vinyl record release from the legendary Japanese guitarist known for his signature blend of jazz fusion, rock, and instrumental music. With a reproduced jacket from the 7-inch edition featuring a cute close-up shot of Agnes, the title track - newly written as the theme song for the short film "Taiyo no Koibito Agnes Lum," released in the summer of the same year - is a fusion number perfect for summer. The coupling track "Tokyo Reggae" is an insert song from the same film with lyrics by Yukihiro Takahashi. A city pop killer tune on which Takanaka himself takes the vocals, it is a song from his 1st album "Seychelles," whose popularity overseas has risen especially in recent years.
