description

Automaton is a spiritron computer, which exists on the moon and has the power to grant any wish. All across the spiritron-constructed virtual world, SE.RA.PH., Servants and the Masters who control them fight for the right to be the Moon Cell Automaton’s one owner in a ceremonial conflict known as the Holy Grail War.

Now, the Servant Nero Claudius and her Master have won the Holy Grail War and have obtained the universal wishing mechanism, the Holy Grail.

They also obtained the Regalia, a ring that proves their kingship. With it, they rule over their once-enemy Servants and start a new beginning on the moon’s new world.

But a new enemy has appeared before them. And this enemy has something that shouldn’t exist: another Regalia.

If you are familiar with Fate/Extella (Multi-Language), why not let others know?

It's a fun musou game with enough character that adds immersion... as long as you have awareness of the series it's based on
it's a musou-like game, but it does have it's own spin on it. If you aren't familiar with the series the game is based on, it'll take a bit longer for you to get around the story/characters and overall narrative, but you'll get there.

It does not revolutionise the gameplay mechanic, but it uses it to good effect to carve out what they want to do.

Absolute Banger
Note that this is Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star in case you are unsure as it doesn't say "The Umbral Star" on it. Also, it comes before Fate/Extella: Link. I haven't played that one yet, but you are probably going to want to play this one first as to not be confused.

A very nice game. Quite text-heavy, but it is fully voiced. I also really liked the story. My only experience with Fate comes from Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, but I didn't really watch that for the story if you know what I mean, and that was a spin-off. There might be some characters or concepts you are unfamiliar with, but most are explained in story or in the in-game encyclopaedia. Game play is fun, but I found the normal difficulty a bit too difficult and mainly played on easy so I could enjoy the story more. The Switch isn't very accurate at keeping track of play time, but it says I played over 35 hours. I did the main story and a little bit of side content, so about 30 hours is probably a good estimate for the main story. You could very well pour 100 hours into it if you wanted. As for the actual item itself, there is some nice artwork of the Umbral Star inside and a small manual. I really liked that as most other Japanese games I have gotten have had no artwork, manual, reversible cover, or even text on the inside, making them feel real bland. The artwork is nice and makes it feel very fancy.

I paid about $42 for it, and that was a pretty good price for the game. There is also a "Best Price" version. It was $50 when I bought this, but it might be lower now, so check both out to get the best deal.

Great game
As difficult as it is to find the American version today, this multi-language Japanese edition is perfect

Good game, great performance
If you like fate series, this game delivers. it has a good story and the performance is great, I hadn't experienced any staggering. Both in handheld and docked it works great. Even with the amount of enemies that sometimes fill the screen.
voices in Japanese and subtitles in English.

Looks cool!
Haven't played yet, but I have to say I love the artwork on the case. Nice collector's piece at the very least, but I'm sure the game will be great too
