Arcade & Sega Saturn Version | 30th Anniversary Celebration Edition
A new, legendary prelude, supervised by Fighting Vipers Director Hiroshi Kataoka.
Includes a special bonus track featuring the Arr version by Koichi "Mickey" Namiki (formerly of SSTBAND/B-univ).
In 1995, Sega released the 3D fighting game "Fighting Vipers," based on the futuristic wire cage deathmatch craze popular among delinquent boys and girls . Wavemaster Co., Ltd. will release the celebratory CD "Fighting Vipers - 30th Anniv. Album" to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the arcade version this year and the Sega Saturn version next year in 2026. This 37-track album is a two-CD set. Disc 1 features 17 tracks from the arcade version released in November 1995. Disc 2 features 18 tracks from the Sega Saturn port released the following year in August 1996. The production team behind these -Official Sound- tracks includes Fumio Ito as sound producer and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi as sound director from the SEGA Sound Team. Furthermore, the two arrangements that form the album's highlights were produced by Koichi "Mickey" Namiki, former leader of SSTBAND/B-univ, a familiar name to longtime Sega fans. Disc 1 begins with the medley-style overture "Fighting Vipers Prelude -Mickey Ver. 2025-," which continues the immersive feel of the opening game. Disc 2 ends with a special bonus track, "Viper Venom If it is Long -Mickey Arr Ver. 2025-," which explores the concept of what would happen if the opening song were a long version. The booklet also includes behind-the-scenes stories about the creation of Fighting Vipers from Hiroshi Kataoka (currently Executive Officer and General Manager of the Technology Division at SEGA Corporation), who served as director for the arcade and Sega Saturn versions , as well as comments from Koichi "Mickey" Namiki, including reminiscences about his time with composer David Leytze and commentary on the arrangements.
Experience the "New Legendary Prelude" through music, supervised by FV Director Hiroshi Kataoka!
